Step 1: Log in to LinkedIn on desktop
- Go to LinkedIn and sign in to your account.
- Use a desktop browser if possible. The export flow may be harder to complete on mobile.

Export your connections from LinkedIn
This runs best on a desktop browser. Each step includes a reference screenshot you can click to expand.
Step 2: Open Settings & Privacy
- Click your profile avatar or "Me" icon in the top navigation.
- Select "Settings & Privacy."
- Open the "Data privacy" section.
Step 3: Request a copy of your data
- In Data privacy, find the section about how LinkedIn uses your data.
- Select "Get a copy of your data."
- Choose the option that includes your connections.
Step 4: Request the archive
- Select the data archive option that includes connections.
- Click "Request archive."
- LinkedIn will prepare the file and email you when it is ready.
Step 5: Wait for LinkedIn to process
- LinkedIn usually sends an email when your archive is ready.
- The email subject may reference your requested LinkedIn data.
- Processing time can vary.
You can safely close the tab while LinkedIn prepares your archive — the email will let you know when it is ready to download.
Step 6: Download and unzip the archive
- Open the email from LinkedIn and download the archive.
- The file may download as a ZIP archive.
- Unzip it and look for a file named Connections.csv or similar.
Step 7: Upload the connections file to ReferralJobs
- Upload the Connections.csv file to your ReferralJobs-provided folder or upload location.
- If you are not sure where to upload it, email team@referraljobs.co.
- Do not upload unrelated files from the archive unless the team specifically asks for them.
